The laboratory of Osteoarticular Biology, Bioengineering and Bioimaging  (B3OA) UMR CNRS 7052 INSERM U1271 is affiliated with the CNRS Department of Science for Engineers , with the INSERM  , with the Paris Diderot University   and with the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort . Since its creation in 1977, the laboratory has developed a renowned  expertise in repair and imaging of skeletal tissues. Based on its experience, the B3OA’s mission is to deliver world-class research and education on osteo-articular bioengineering and imaging.

Our other activities

Beside its research endeavor, the B3OA also aims at using its expertise to provide top-class:

  • Teaching for third cycle students;
  • Traning for master and PhD candidates;
  • Education for surgeons and clinicians to bring acquired knowledge to the patient’s bed-side in order to improve actual treatments and diagnosis.

Our members

The B3OA Lab research team is composed of biologists, dentists, veterinarians, orthopaedic surgeons, and radiologists. It includes about 35 permanent and 10 temporary staff members (see here the organization of B3OA).
